The Maserati Indy is an alternative to the Ghibli offering a V8 engine and room for 4 people. It successfully replaced the six-cylinder 2+2 Maserati Sebring and the Mexico and the first car produced under the Citröen ownership but still powered by the 4.2, 4.7 and 4.9 L V8 engines. With 1104 produced cars it was one of the best-selling early Maserati cars.
