Better reliability for your Ferrari Maranello 550
The construction of the original fuse box bases on 5 overlayed copper plated mylar film sheets. The electrical contacts are soldered to the copper traces without plated through holes as used in a real multi-layer Printed Circuit Board PCB.
In the original design these solder joints degrade over the time due to mechanical and thermal stress. This yields to malfunction of the car. Typical malfunctions are that the engine is only running on one bank or that the radiator fan doesn’t work anymore.
A newly developed the whole fuse box assembly, based on a 6-layer heavy copper PCB and press-fit technology. The fuse holders and relay sockets are purchased from a world-class German manufacturer and the contact terminals needed to attach to the car wire harness. The press-fit technology is today widely used in high reliability devices such as automotive electric power steering modules or inverters of all electric cars.
Installing this fuse box in your car will greatly improve its reliability and increases its life for many more exciting years to come.
